LYNNIA SHANLEY

for your good.

11/16/2016

Stresses all over this place!
Much more hidden on their face.
Am I the blank wall of white?
Not a sound, not a peep, just a curious sight to see;

for your good.
Oh you're good at spitting colors left and right
Painting a picture...I allow!

Behind a canvas of narratives lies a silent voice
but a loud mind.
Retract these corners if you must
But I stand strong in my foundation;

for your good.
Oh you're good is just as much as mine.

Maybe a bit more secluded and a lot less profound.
But good
nonetheless
And good to good as
Good be true
Let me keep my good
and you can share yours too.

(How dare I doubt my own equality.
I choose to devalue my own profoundness.
Who am I to judge my own truth.
It is me)

I'll stay.
I'll listen.
Paint me again...
I don't mind.

(Except when you use that negative brown...it makes me nauseous.)
