Exploring our bodies as a main source of our creation is one of the best parts about building a movement practice. The observations and reflections that come along with it provide immense information about how we process the world and our creative process. When we move, we generate an experience. When we move, we are inviting something deep within us to move as well. When we move, we are transformed.
It's important to marinate in every aspect of the creative journey and be present with ourselves. Sometimes, we can't think ourselves through it. Movement is a way of processing and understanding to help remove stagnation and create flow. Speaking and sharing your experience out loud brings further insight, curiosities, questions, and revelations. When we move, and create the space for observation and talk it out, we are able to put a name to the sensations we experience. Then, we can apply what we've learned at a later point and ultimately get to understand ourselves even better. Below is a series of topics that will be explored and discuss in my newsletter and during movement sessions. I'm curious to hear what you think! |
